Who we are:

The Coalition of New American Voters is a Massachusetts based organization working with partners to engage New Americans in the electoral process. Our vision is to increase the voting participation of new Americans, to help to elect pro-immigrant candidates, by creating a forceful network of engaged ethnic leaders who enroll New American voters, get them to the polls and inform them of all candidates serving their interests. We do this through Education & Outreach, Nonpartisan Field Work, Organizing & Training, Research & Policy and Youth Leadership Development.

The Opportunity

New Americans are engaged voters, leaders, and a strong voting bloc. MA is home to nearly 1 Million foreign-born; the majority eligible to or have become New Americans. With recent changes in district lines of representation, new minority-majority and immigrant-majority districts will be drawn, creating a prospect to elect and engage New Americans in the Democratic process.

Our Goals

Increase New Americans voter participation, especially in gateway cities in the Commonwealth.
Build up the immigrant voter base to positively impact the responsiveness of candidates to their needs.
Increase partnership with progressive organizations to advocate for issues that affect new Americans.
